It’s kind of an important thing. And recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about my own environment.
Where I am. What’s in it. Who’s in it. Things that surround, things that shape. Things that inspire and things that expire.
Textures and objects and all sorts of things. Once you begin to look and observe, one notices just how much fills your surroundings.
It’s kind of amazing.
You start looking and then you can’t stop.
THERE’S SO MUCH TO SEE. AND FEEL. AND SMELL AND HEAR.

So why all this talk about environment and surroundings? I’m leaving in exactly 19 days and am soaking in all I can before then. Even the smell of freshly dispersed cow manure that is oh so present here.
The second reason is this: it’s an assignment.
‘Wherever you are this Summer, extract ideas from you surroundings’
So off I went, and here I am. In my environment, drawing from my environment.
Here are some things I’ve found interesting and inspiring.
